About Us
Canada Defence Manufacturing Corporation (CDMC) is a Canadian-owned and operated venture founded by veterans, engineers, public policy professionals, and business leaders.
Our mission is to reshore and rebuild Canada’s defence manufacturing base — restoring sovereign industrial capacity, strengthening our contribution to allied security, and creating good jobs across the country.
Our Vision
For decades, Canada has relied on foreign-owned prime contractors to meet our defence needs. Today, global rearmament, evolving alliances, and allied diversification have created a historic opportunity for Canada to once again become a builder, not just a buyer.
CDMC was founded to make Canada a critical & reliable manufacturer to our allies by:
-
Re-establishing sovereign production capacity on Canadian soil;
-
Creating skilled, high-value manufacturing jobs here at home;
-
Strengthening NATO-allied supply chains through secure, diversified production; and
-
Partnering with governments and industry to create long-term national capability and capacity.
Why Canada
Canada offers a rare combination of geographic security, a world-class industrial base, allied integration, and reliability as a partner.
We are an ocean away from most conflict zones — yet deeply embedded in the defence systems and alliances our allies depend on. This makes Canada an ideal location for advanced defence manufacturing that complements production in other jurisdictions, including Europe, the United States, and Asia.
With NATO-aligned countries moving rapidly to address a potentially catastrophic shortage of defence industrial capacity, Canada's natural resource endowment, engineering expertise, and reliability as a partner makes our country the logical home for a resilient, diversified supply chain serving democratic allies.
As global military spending increases and supply chains are diversified, CDMC will position Canada as a secure, scalable, and reliable production partner domestically and to our allies around the globe.
Team
CDMC's founding team includes veterans, engineers, finance professionals, and former government officials with decades of combined experience across defence, manufacturing, and public policy and procurement.
